Osisko – Kirkland Lake project

Osisko analysis the possibility of exploiting a gold deposit with an underground mine in the Kirkland Lake area, Ontario. The deposit will have a depth of about 1 400m.

The deposit follows a dyke and a major fault zone. This fault zone could generate a significant water inflows during operation. Also, the mine will be adjacent to an old underground mine dating back almost 100 years. It is therefore necessary to assess the impact of this historic mine and this fault on the input water potential.

To do this, Hydro Resources conducted a data analysis and tests with packer. The field work was carried out in exploration drill holes.
